NFL kicking off season with Cowboys at Eagles

The Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will host the rival Dallas Cowboys when the NFL kicks off the 2025 regular season on NBC on Thursday, Sept. 4.The league announced the game on Monday, with the full NFL schedule to be released on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.The Eagles swept the Cowboys last season and have won the last three meetings at home.The last time the NFC East rivals met in Week 1 was on Sept. 3, 2000, when Andy Reid coached Philadelphia to a 41-14 victory at Texas Stadium.The Eagles went 14-3 in the 2024 regular season and routed the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX.
