Report: Free agent T Peters aims to play in 2020

Free agent offensive tackle Jason Peters hopes to play in the NFL this year, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Friday.The 38-year-old veteran has engaged in discussions with his longtime team, the Philadelphia Eagles, but is willing to look elsewhere, according to Schefter.Peters also filmed a recent training video for teams to see his fitness level.The Eagles released the nine-time Pro Bowl selection in early March, stating that they reached a mutual agreement with Peters to allow him to test free agency.”We are appreciative of everything Jason has contributed to the organization over the last 11 seasons in Philadelphia, including building a first-ballot Hall of Fame career and helping us win our first Super Bowl championship,” the Eagles posted to Twitter.”Jason has been an incredible leader and person both on and off the field. We will remain in communication as each side continues to evaluate its options in free agency.”At the same time, Eagles coach Doug Pederson told NBC Sports Philadelphia he would gladly invited Peters back for 2020.
