Eagles DT Jernigan practices for first time this season

Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan practiced Monday for the first time since having surgery in April to repair a herniated disc in his back.The Eagles now have 21 days to decide whether to activate Jernigan from the non-football injury list and add him to the 53-man roster. If they do not, he will not be allowed to play this season.Jernigan, 26, tallied 29 tackles and 2.5 sacks and started 15 games in his first season in Philadelphia in 2017. He added two tackles during the postseason for the Super Bowl LII champions.
